Day 1 We will show you that Gemer boasts not only its natural beauty but skilled craftsmen, too. Upon arrival and accommodation in the village of Krásnohorská Dlhá Lúka, you will visit the local Crafts House established by the Association of Gemer Craftsmen. Their goal is to restore and teach folk crafts - which is exactly what awaits you. Experienced instructors will teach you how to make a doll from husks, knit a basket, or model from clay. After a hearty lunch at the local tavern, you will get acquainted with bell-making or woodcarving in the form of a workshop. If you work fast enough, you will even have time left to visit some of the local natural attractions.

Day 2 After a hearty breakfast, you’ll set out to follow the smell of wood, which will transport you to a forest or orchard. That’s exactly what the workshop of the woodcarver Erich Černaj in the nearby village of Gemerská Poloma will be about - among other things. You will learn about the beginnings of his work and you will make a wooden bowl on a lathe yourself - under his strict supervision, of course. You, too, can bring the fragrant wood to life.
