The Granarium in Jablonov nad Turňou and the Kaltenecker Brewery in Rožňava are original and authentic places where the traditions of Gemer are reflected. Quality ingredients and recipes passed down from generation to generation are a guarantee of real gourmet experiences. It could be said that the weekend will be a tribute to our ancestors, to their cleverness and foresight, thanks to which these recipes have been preserved for us.

Day 1: The magical atmosphere of Gemer will be apparent to you right away when you visit the medieval granary - the Granarium. The Papais, a charming couple, will guide you through their kingdom and accommodate you in cozy rooms. You will make dough for homemade bread on a terrace with hot ovens, and, after waiting a while, you will find out that this type of baking is a really amazing experience for your taste buds. Lunch will be similarly fascinating, baked traditionally and slowly in brick ovens outside. After this gourmet feast, a walk in the surrounding Slovak Karst National Park, specifically through the majestic Zádielská Gorge, will definitely come in handy. Dinner will - once again - not disappoint, because Gemer hides much more than just a single culinary secret. Add to it a tasting of local wine and wonderful dreams will become true.

Day 2: In the morning, breakfast awaits you on a terrace overlooking the garden, and then it’s off to an interesting day once again. You will visit the nearby Kaltenecker brewery in Rožňava, where, while they will probably not reveal the recipe itself, you will learn a lot about how to brew excellent and often-rewarded beer. Don't worry, there will be time for a tasting of our favorite lagers and specials.
