  1. Megyer Hill Lake- Pálháza
The first stop of our excursion is the spectacular, much-photographed Megyer Hill Lake; the former quarry, where the raw material for so many millstones were once mined. Then we will go to Pálháza, where we will travel by forest railway, visit a former water mill and taste traditional dishes. In the late afternoon a hearty dinner with oven-made food and homemade bread awaits you in Pányok.

You will participate in a half-day bread baking workshop, where you will find out about the tools and techniques of traditional bread baking. You will make bread and traditional flat bread, which you will then eat with the host's cheeses and homemade spreads. After cleaning the kneading bowl, you will go on an excursion: your knowledge will be boosted in Füzér's charming village museum and castle, as well as the porcelain museum in Hollóháza. You will also visit the most beautiful palace in the Zemplén region, the Károlyi Palace in Füzérradvány, for a photo stop. Our Zemplén dinner is also typically made from local ingredients, evoking traditional, local flavours.

  1. Telkibánya
You’ll take a light excursion to the Ice Cave and the Spring of King Mathias in Telkibánya and then visit the museum collecting and showcasing the traditions of Telkibánya, with a wide array of milling stones in its garden. Lunch made orom Zemplén products and then departure back home.
