  1. Boldogkőváralja - Vizsoly – Göncruszka – Gönc
Your first stop is the Castle of Boldogkő, which has strong literary aspects: this is where Bálint Balassi wrote his poem “For Wine Drinkers”. The “Bethlehem of Vizsoly” is the Reformed church, where you can get to know the medieval church and the Károli Bible during a guided tour. In Bálint Mantskovits Museum of the History of Printing, you will be shown paper immersion and the printing methods of the era but you can also try the work of 16th century printers yourselves. After the exhibition on the history of printing, you will select from the offerings of Könyvesház (House of Books): books and publications related to the topic, as well as gifts made of embossed paper are for sale here. Lunch in Göncruszka at Tejjel-Mézzel (Milk and Honey) Restaurant, followed by a trip to nearby Gönc, where you will learn about the culture and language of the 16th century at Károli Gáspár Museum. Dinner at the hotel.

  1. Sárospatak – Sátoraljaújhely
You will spend the first half of the day in an incredibly creative place, the Museum of the Hungarian Language. Here you get to know the past and present of the language in an interactive way. Then you will visit the Memorial Hall of Ferenc Kazinczy. The historical Archives of Zemplén County, where documents are kept from as early as the 1200s, will also open its gates before you. After lunch you can explore the Great Library of the Reformed College of Sárospatak, one of our most beautiful, spectacular, and richest collections. Every bookworm needs a little fresh air and the inspiring atmosphere of Mother Nature, so after visiting the library you'll head to the lake of Megyer Hill. Dinner in Telkibánya.

  1. Göncruszka – Gönc
You’ll take part in the reformed church service of Göncruszka’s parish and then view the local history exhibition in the Hussite House. From there, you’ll take an excursion to the ruins of the former Pauline Monastery.
